About the Role:

We are looking for a Data and Insights Manager to join our team. This is a key role in delivering on our data lead fundraising and engagement strategies, reporting, business intelligence and research needs across the organisation. Leading the Data and Insights team, you will champion data lead decision making across Greenpeace, ensuring we follow best practice in data management and that the team has the insight and reporting they need to deliver on organisational objectives. As a senior manager within the fundraising team, you will work closely with other managers to ensure our BI roadmap, insights and data strategies deliver for each programme's specific needs. You will have a high degree of technical expertise in data visualisation and data warehousing, data management, insights and reporting.

This is a busy role, with multiple priorities and responsibilities. Leading a small team of experts, you will work closely with the Fundraising Director and other key stakeholders to ensure Greenpeace’s engagement and insights strategies are delivered in a dynamic campaigning and fundraising environment.


Key tasks:

  • Lead the Data and Insights team to deliver on the organisation's data objectives.
  • Deliver the BI roadmap with a focus on digital fundraising and engagement.
  • Develop on existing audience views to guide our segmentation and targeting strategies
  • Ensure robust data management processes are maintained, including data privacy and PCI compliance.
  • Drive insight led decision making across the organisation - proactively providing insights.
  • Work with the Technology team to ensure our engagement systems stack roadmap is delivered.
  • Lead on Greenpeace’s research programme with external partner(s).

Job requirements

About You:

  • Identifies with Greenpeace goals and supportive of Greenpeace values
  • At least 3 years experience in a senior data management or insights role
  • Expertise in data warehousing and visualisation
  • Analytical and strategic thinker
  • Strong leadership and staff development skills
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL
  • High attention to detail
  • Proactive, solutions focused leader
  • Deadline driven
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar database
